Mr Chua is a very patient and friendly teacher that does his best to teach his students to the best of his abilities. His teaching methods are easy to understand and memorise. I was a struggling F9 grade student before knowing teacher through my friends. With his guidance, I managed to score a decent grade for my O levels. teacher is very patient and engaging which enabled me to develop and deepen my interest, rather than fear, in chemistry. He is very encouraging and would not hesitate to provide extra classes or help me with other subjects. Previously before joining tuition, I had been getting straight f9s. however, through his patient guidance and engaging lessons, i was able to improve and obtain a result I never thought I could ever obtain. I used to be unable to grasp a lot of chemistry concepts and found myself disliking the subject because i was struggling so much with it, but after i went for Mr Chua's lessons, I learnt about many things about chemistry both in and out of syllabus, and managed to improve from E8 to B3! Mr Chua is a great chemistry teacher. Using real life examples, he make sense of what I am learning which further helps me to understand the chemistry concepts needed to answer questions. His lessons are also very fun and engaging, allowing students to learn and enjoy at the same time. Since secondary 3, I obtained very poor results for my chemistry exams and felt I just wasn’t cut out for it. However, my sister urge me to try out Mr Chua’s classes as she too have benefitted from his lessons. After attending his lessons, my grades steadily improved from a F9 to a B3 in the O levels examinations. Last but certainly not least, Mr Chua is also a caring teacher whom encourages his students to message him questions whenever they face difficulties. Mr Chua is truly a caring teacher. He was often seen guiding his students before classes to help them excel in their academics. During lessons, he would explain my mistakes and possible improvements in detail. Also, when any one of his students needed extra attention, he would not hesitate to make up time for one. For example, when I needed assistance in a chapter that everyone else did not, he made up time for a 1-to-1 lesson just for that. For example, when we are struggling in certain topics, he is willing to spend time and explain to us the topic again until we completely understand. Mr Chua is the kind of teacher that will go the extra mile to help his students. Whether it is extra lessons or marking our extra homework, he is always willing to do whatever it takes to help us improve our grades. By reading our facial expressions and confirming with us directly, he makes sure to check that everyone understands the concept of the topic before going on to the next, personally, this allowed me to clarify my doubts very easily and strengthened my understanding of concepts efficiently. Mr Chua is an excellent teacher. In our lessons, he helped me correct my misconceptions and improved my answering technique. He was also more than willing to answer my questions on WhatsApp. Under his guidance, my chemistry improved significantly. I had a C5 in Chemistry for Prelim 1 which improved to A1 in Prelim 2 and for O levels itself. School: Nan Chiau High School
